Since I have been a little more active on this thing lately I'll try to keep it up.
Spent the morning cruising a couple of the local Amish stores.
Hene's Supply in Withee had their customer appreciation days with 10% off. I didn't get too carried away but Tammy had to have help lugging all her stuff to the truck. I found a tunnel row cover that opens and closes by just pulling a string. Which looks a lot easier than having to lift the whole thing. Of course sometimes things look easy but aren't quite. I will see how it works and report on that this spring. I hope to use it to do some peanuts.
I also found a cool set of measuring spoons with amounts like dash pinch tad...just a little humor I guess.
Then we went to Cloverdale by Curtiss. They had a sale on potatoes and since ours are about gone we picked up 50 lbs. Their eggs looked a lot better than last time we went. They were actually a nice brown color and were good size. $1.80 a dozen. I hope we can get some interest in ours next fall.
Stopped by a bearing place to get some bearings for the vacuum pump. Dad says he has a motor that may work for it which would be nice because the one I have needs new caps and some heat shrink on some of the wires. I have to get the pump working and find some claws for milking goats. Tammy doesn't think she wants to milk 3 goats by hand.
Was going to get some more stuff started but ended up building a new pen for Bubba. We've been kind of shuffling him between the nanny pens but with kids on the way I figured it would be better to have him seperate. Tammy has decided that we will seperate the kids from momma at birth and bottle feed them. We hope this will keep Misty from reverting to a wild thing on the stand and it will help get the other 2 used to it quicker.
