Welcome to my blog. LOL must be a gazillion opening lines like that

Anyway, I started this thing to chronicle my move towards self-sufficiency.
Not sure how it will go or if I'll keep it up but it may be worth a shot to help others out and maybe receive feedback on stuff I am doing.
Hopefully as time permits I can work on the looks of this site and make it a bit more pleasing to the eye. First things first though, gotta get it up and running.
I'll have to see how these emoticans look after I make this first post. I may have to find different ones or just do away with them entirely.
Well, let's post this, see how it looks, and get started on sprucing the place up.
